SQSAC 2008 Red Sea Trip

Some Images and Info on our Forthcoming Red Sea Trip

07- 15 May 2008 we will be based at the Sol Sharm just outside Naama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Flying from Edinburgh is a major bonus, saving us having to take Shuttle flights to Manchester or Gatwick with overnight stays.

We havent finalised our Diving plans yet but there will be 6 days Diving available, we are Shore-Based for a change and are still seeing what is the best deal to suit everyone. Red Sea College is looking the favourite choice at the , but we will confirm nearer the time.

The Diving will probably be mainly Reef Diving with a Trip to Dive the Thislegorm - as was said by someone 'you cant got to Sharm and not Dive the Thistlegorm', very true. The other Dives will probably be Tiran Island, good for Shark and Pelagic sightings, Ras Mohammed great reefs and toilets!, Jackson, Gordon and Woodhouse Reefs which are superb walls with lots of life. Throw in a couple of Night Dives and we have the makings of a good Trip.

There may also be the chance to do some Deep Diving at Dahab at the famous Blue Hole where depths of over 140m can be obtained from the shore.

Please see the images for an idea of what it will be like:-
