The Club Boat is temporarily at Warrens Hoose until we can organise somewhere to keep it as we have lost our parking at Broxburn.Laura's Lifesaver Course is running at the Pool and has proved very popular with about 10 people taking this course.
Regional O2 Admin and Rescue First Aid is being run next weekend . spaces available please contact Warren if interested.
All Trainees have now been in the water for their first Open Water Dives,
with Ally Macgregor completing his Theory Exam and Open Water training he is now a qualified Ocean Diver, and off to Australia to celebrate.
Lindsay Mackenzie and Rhona Mckenzie have both passed their Theory Exam and are 2 dives away from completing their Open water training.
Falk has been in for his first Dives with Warren, and Sarah has managed several dives over the last few weeks.
Well Done to Ronnie Mackenzie for passing his TIE at the weekend, this is the Theory Instructor half of the Open Water Instructor qualification.Ronnie achieved a pass in the Theory and a Merit in the Presentation, a merit is not easily achieved in these exams. With Ronnie planning to take his practical exam this year and Neil Young heading overseas to do a Combined Event we will have another two OWI's this year.
Smartgroups has been causing problems recently with a failure of the group e-mail and my Firewall at work blocking access, as this situation doesnt look like improving we will change over to Yahoo Groups within the next few weeks, I am currently moving all data and files over so that we can change over smoothly.
Still looking for Dive Marshalls to fill out the remaining dates on the calendar, and please ensure all Deposits are paid for forthcoming trips before spaces are given to Non Club members.
