3 Jan 2007 - SQSAC NITROX Workshop - Coming Soon!
The BSAC Training Syllabus has changed as from 01 Jan 2007, The Ocean and Sports Diver Training Courses now include Nitrox as part of these Courses, to roll this out to existing Ocean and Sports Divers a Nitrox Workshop Event has been introduced to give these Divers a Nitrox qualification.
So I was going to run a Nitrox SDC in February for SQSAC, but now I think it would be better (and cheaper) to run this Workshop. I did say this event is free - that is true - but to get your Nitrox Qualification card from BSAC costs you £15, still a lot cheaper than the SDC.
If you are an Ocean Diver you sit through the first presentation, this covers using Nitrox 32 and 36 on air tables and an air computer, take an easy 10 question Assessment and thats it., the Sports Diver Course covers the next part.
If you are a Sports Diver you sit through the first presentation, take the easy assessment, then sit through part 2, this covers using Nitrox tables and a Nitrox Computer for 32 and 36% mixes, and includes decompression and Dive Planning, take another easy 10 question assessment and thats it.
I would encourage EVERYONE to get on this event, the New Courses from January will include Nitrox, so dont be left behind.
There is a bit of practical work, analysing mixes, but its very easy, the Assessments are easy as well, I have all the workbooks, so you can get them off me if interested.
