29 Jul 2007 - Club Boat Diving this Weekend 28/29 July
It will depend on Tides and Wether, and number of Divers where we go.
Decision will be made at the Cumberland Bar Club Night on the 25th
We have several Choices:-
The Farnes Islands are off the Coast of Northumberland, just past Berwick. Famous for Shipwrecks( the Grace Darling Story) and Scenic Diving with the Seals - 10m-35m. We launch at Seahouses and have lots of choice of Diving...very strong currents if you dont get slack water.
East Coast we could do Dunbar again, or launch at North Berwick and do Craigleith Island 15-20m, or the Bass Rock 10-50m, or HMS Ludlow at Yellowcraigs - 6-16m.
The Clyde, we could launch at Largs and do the Beagle - 34m, or some wall Diving -20m, around Little Cunbrae, and have a look for a wreck close to the Lady Isabella, an iron sailing Ship which sank in shallow water off Little Cumbrae - 15m.
Personally I think the Farnes deserve everyone getting a chance to dive there it is that good, so maybe we do it in a few weeks time on the Saturday and the Sunday.
So lets discuss it at the Club Night, Wednesday 25th July at the Cumberland Bar.
